How to play

  1. Choose a question type: Word → Definition, Word → Synonym, or Definition → Word.
  2. Take off! Four blue answer rings appear in the sky ahead. The question and the four choices are always shown at the top of the screen.
  3. Fly through the correct ring: it turns gold with a "ping," and you earn 10 points. If you head for a wrong ring, it hops out of the way and shows the right answer.
  4. Fly as long as you like: there is no time limit and no game over. When you land, you can review every word from the flight. Tap a word to open its flashcard, then tap "Back" to return to your list.

Controls

📱 Phone or tablet: pull the control stick on the right back to climb, push it forward to descend, and tilt it left or right to turn. Push the throttle on the left forward to speed up and pull it back to slow down.

💻 Computer: arrow keys (or WASD) for the control stick, Shift/Ctrl (or the mouse wheel) for the throttle, P to pause, Esc to land.

🎯 Lock-on: aim at a ring and you will hear a beep as it locks on. A locked ring is easy to keep in your sights, and the assist gently steers you toward it (turn it on or off with "🧲 Assist").

🛩️ Instrument panel: the airspeed indicator, attitude indicator, altimeter, vertical speed indicator, heading indicator, and tachometer all move as you fly.

Words

The questions use the words, synonyms, and concise definitions from SAT Vocabulary 001 and the SAT quizzes that will be added later. For the full Words in Context practice, with SAT-style passages and explanations, use the quiz pages.
