Peer-to-Peer File Sharing

I used to say "For both Mac and Windows: "Aimster"is highly recommendable." Now scrach this out. It should read "Aimster WAS highly recommendable." It is no longer so. They are going commercial, call themselves "Madster" and want you to pay for "your Madster membership." Give me a break, man.

Also "MP3 Rage" is a very good Macintosh application. Make sure you get the latest version. With MP3Rage, you can actually get connected, that is, when you are lucky.

For Windows : My favorite is definitely "WinMX".
"Hotline" can be made use of by both Mac and Windows users. There are too many "banner" servers these days, though.
Last but not least : Thank you "Napster" . Thank you very much indeed. It was good and fun while it lasted. Hope this pioneering product will make a comeback.
